Ambel POS started in 2023 with a simple observation: independent retailers were stitching together five different tools to run one store. We set out to build the one that does it all.
Ambel POS was founded by two former retail-tech engineers who watched a boutique owner run checkout on one app, inventory on a spreadsheet, and sales tax through an accountant. Every month, by hand. We built the first version over a weekend to fix that one store's workflow. Three years later it runs thousands of storefronts.
The International edition ships on its own infrastructure, with its own tax engine and payment integrations, so nothing about the product reads like a port of software built for another market.
Tax on every line, variants, per-location stock and supplier lead times are designed around how a small retail business actually runs a counter.
Internet drops. Checkout should not. If the line goes while the register is open, sales are saved locally and sent up the moment the connection returns.
When we suggest a reorder quantity we show the reasoning behind it, and when we do not have enough sales history to be sure, we say so rather than posting a number we cannot stand behind.
Roadmap priorities come from store owners and associates using the product daily, not from a boardroom.
